Data Deletion Instructions
SnappBot connects to Facebook Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, and web chat so that business owners (merchants) can automate replies to customer messages. In line with Meta's Platform Policies and applicable data protection laws, this page explains how you can remove SnappBot's access to your data and request deletion of any data we hold.
Option 1 — Remove SnappBot from your Facebook account
This revokes SnappBot's access to your Facebook Page and Instagram account, and stops all data sharing immediately:
- Go to your Facebook account's Settings & Privacy, then Settings.
- In the left menu, open Apps and Websites (you may also find this under Business Integrations).
- Find SnappBot in the list of connected apps.
- Select it and click Remove.
Once removed, SnappBot can no longer receive messages from or send replies on your Page or Instagram account.
Option 2 — Disconnect channels from your dashboard
You can disconnect individual channels from the SnappBot dashboard at any time:
- Facebook/Instagram: Go to Page Setup and click Disconnect. This deletes your stored credentials immediately.
- WhatsApp: Go to Page Setup and click Disconnect WhatsApp. This deletes your stored credentials immediately.
- Telegram: Go to Page Setup and click Disconnect Telegram. This deletes your stored credentials immediately.
- Web chat: Remove the widget code from your website. Web chat sessions are automatically invalidated.
- Google Calendar: Go to Page Setup and click Disconnect Google Calendar. This deletes your stored connection data immediately.
Option 3 — Revoke API keys
If you have generated API keys for third-party integrations (e.g. Claude AI via MCP), you can revoke them at any time:
- Go to your Dashboard → API Keys (under Settings).
- Click Revoke on any active key.
Revoked keys stop working immediately. Any AI assistant or integration using that key will lose access to your account.
Option 4 — Request full account deletion
To have all data SnappBot stores permanently deleted, send a request from your registered email to chengshengwu.william@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request".
What gets deleted
- Account information (your name, email, and business profile)
- Channel connection data (all stored credentials for connected platforms)
- Message activity logs (message text and sender identifiers from all channels)
- Customer records (names, identifiers, conversation history)
- Auto-reply rules and conversation flows
- Products and menu items
- Customer orders
- Booking sessions (dates, time slots, capacity data)
- Google Calendar connection data
- API keys (all stored key data)
- API audit logs (request history)
Note that message activity logs are automatically purged based on your plan tier. API audit logs are purged on a periodic schedule. Channel access tokens are deleted the moment you disconnect a channel. You may request immediate deletion of all data at any time.
How long it takes
We process deletion requests and permanently remove your data within 30 days. We will send a confirmation to your registered email once the deletion is complete.
